It was quiet...too quiet for Redwall's liking...or it should have been.

Kiesk Silverjet lay on the floor, paws spread out on the carpet like an eagle, eyes half closed, the blue eyes fading slowly into a cloudy gray. Sick, thirsty, and hungry, the young wolverine cub only had a few hours left before his eyes closed forever.

He squealed once, then closed his eyes and fell into the world of dreams.

On the way to going out to pick up food, Rocky heard a squeal. It sounded like a babe. He ran to the source of it. He saw a wolverine cub on the floor. It looked hurt. He ran and swept it up into his powerful arms. "Oi! Get me a healer!" He shouted back to anyone in hearing range.

Kiesk awoke, but he wouldn't be awake for long if someone didn't do something. His breathing and heartbeat slowed and his eyes went half closed again.

Rasei ran into the room. 'Rocky! Um...give him to me, I know a spot o' healing!'

He ran downstairs and came back into the room with a jug of water, which he trickled down the half-dead wolverine's mouth.

'Rocky! Find food now, I'll take care of him!'

Rocky nodded. He grabbed his knife and blade out of his dormitory and sprinted to the kitchen to see if there was anything. He found a gnarled apple and half a jug of water. He checked the cabinet and found a pear. He ran to Rasei. "Here! Have him drink some water." He said. He started to cut up the apples into small bits. He passed them to Rasei.

Rasei fed the wolverine bits of the dried apple. He turned and shouted a few words to the otter. 'We need to get him to the infirmary now!'

Rocky nodded. "Let me take him." he said. He ran to the babe and picked him up in one arm. He ran up the stairs, skipping one each time. He soon made it to the infirmary. He turned the babe over and found a cut on him. (He does have a cut, right?)
